Artwork checklist before anything goes to press

Five checks that stop most reprints before they start.

Stack of blank white PVC cards ready for print

A proof is not a design review. It is a last look at crop, colour and encoding marks. If the file is wrong, the proof will be wrong too.

The five checks

  1. Bleed: 3 mm on every edge. Text and logos sit 3 mm inside the trim.
  2. Colour: supply CMYK. RGB teal on screen will not match PVC teal.
  3. Resolution: 300 dpi at actual size.
  4. Encoding marks: leave a quiet zone for stripe, chip or NFC.
  5. Fonts: outline or embed. Missing fonts stall the proof.

Nothing goes to press until you approve the digital proof.

Send PDF, AI or high-resolution PSD. If you do not have artwork, send a logo and a brief and we will set the card up.
